DESCRIPTION
In 1963, what did the fastest man on earth drive to work?
Mickey Thompson drove this ZO6 Corvette #6844
Prove It findings reveal new identity for Mickey Thompson Corvette.

For nearly two decades, this Z06 Corvette was thought to have been used
by Mickey Thompson to test Sears Allstate Tires on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
However, over the past several years, a cloud of doubt surrounded this claim.

Dana Mecum wanted to know the facts. So, he hired Prove It
a research team headed by Bloomington Gold founder, David Burroughs.
Prove It collected historic photography, testimony from expert witnesses,
testimony from the restorer, and relevant materials associated with the vehicle.

The Findings:
Prove It concluded this Corvette VIN #6844 was NOT the Allstate car.
However, it concluded that it was indeed Thompsons personal Corvette.

As a famous drag racer of the period and holder of a 406 mph speed record,
Thompson chose this 1963 Z06 Corvette (#6844) to fit his brand image of speed.
Although not the Bonneville test car, Thompson would have likely spent more time
driving #6844 than all four of his other Z06 race Corvettes.

Besides being his personal Corvette, #6844 was also used as the advertising
model for one of his speed accessoriesMickey Thompson mag wheels.

About Prove It
Designed by David Burroughs, Prove It helps owners or buyers determine if
certain claims are true, false, or inconclusive. Prove It represents the vehicle
rather than one side or the other.

Once all the facts, materials, historic photography, and testimony from both sides
are collected, it is forwarded to a specially selected team of experts for their
inspection, comments, and conclusions.
These comments and conclusions are forwarded to a team of analysts for their
final inspection and conclusions. A report is then written with findings and conclusions
and presented to the client.
